Are you in need of a rugged, easy to build, inexpensive, and optionally insulated doghouse for small to medium sized dogs? If you are, you're in the right place! Well, assuming you want to build the doghouse yourself anyway.

Recently, Mrs. Bumpkin and I found ourselves in need of a couple of such doghouses for some of our Toy Fox Terriers. We started out doing the same thing you are probably doing right now, searching the Internet for doghouse plans. Although we could find many different plans for your standard gabled roof doghouse, we could not find a single set of plans for a simple little insulated doghouse. So, we decided to just design our own.

After an hour or so of making sketches, we came up with a design we liked. After another hour or so creating some rough plans with measurements and a materials list, we headed off to the local Home Depot for supplies. A couple of days later, we had ourselves five nice little doghouses. A couple of days after that, we had ourselves five insulated little doghouses. Although we only needed three, we figured we might as well go ahead and build a couple of extras while we were at it.

After using the houses for a few months and seeing how well they work (both for our Toy Fox Terriers and our Cocker Spaniels), Mrs. Bumpkin decided that I should create a good set of plans and make them available to you. So, I spent a few more hours creating a nice detailed set of plans and a better materials list. Then I spent a day or so typing up a nice set of building and insulating instructions, basically a here's what we found works best kind of thing. Now I'm offering them to you.

Now I know you are probably looking for free doghouse plans. However, I know what kind of free plans are available on the Internet and I know that these plans are far better than those. I also know that if you had already found a good set of free plans, you wouldn't be here now. Lastly, I know that people are willing to pay for good plans given the success of my Bumpkin-Bilt Bunk Bed Plans. So, I'm hoping that you will be willing to pay a little bit for my doghouse plans.

So how much is a little you ask. In this instance, a little is $15. Yes, you could look at the pictures and sketch out your own set of plans the same way I did. However, I think you will find you will have at least a couple of hours invested in the plans once you are done. So, wouldn't spending $15 for a complete set of plans be a better idea in the end anyway?

What will I get for $15 you ask? You'll get:

  • Front, Side, Top, and Bottom plan views showing how everything fits together with each board Color Coded and labeled.

  • A single sheet showing the dimensions for every board, also color coded and labeled.

  • Layout guides showing how to cut all the pieces from the least number of boards.

  • A detailed materials list so you'll know exactly what to buy.

  • A detailed set of building instructions describing how to assemble the house with the least amount of hassle.

  • Detailed instructions for how to go about insulating the house (which also leaves the house easily washable on the inside).

  • Access to the whole shabang any time you want in the future via this web site.
Now surely all that is worth $15 isn't it? If you agree, then you'll be very happy to know that I'll sell them to you for $10! Still interested? If so, click the first button below. If not, click the other one.
